Senior Payroll SpecialistNaphCare has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Payroll Specialist to join NaphCare's Talent Acquisition team ONSITE at our Corporate Headquarters in Birmingham, AL.The Senior Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing and distribution of payroll for their assigned departments/sites. Under the direct supervision of the Payroll Manager, this position must ensure accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and company deductions in accordance with government regulations and company policies.ResponsibilitiesMaintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidentialCalculate, issue, and record adjustments to pay related to retroactive changesAudit new hire paperwork such as tax withholding forms and direct deposit to ensure accuracyScan and file payroll documents such as wage garnishments, tax withholding forms, and direct depositsProcessing and maintenance of all staff changes for payroll needs (hires, terminations, class changes, pay changes, transfers, etc.)Respond to and resolve any inquiries regarding paychecksUtilize ADP Reporting to provide data quickly and accurately from the payroll systemAct as a backup for coworkersAssist with special projects as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance from an accredited four-year college or university preferredExperience working with a large company, processing high volumes of payroll preferred2+ years previous experience processing payroll, preferably with ADPProficiency in ADP Workforce Now (WFN) and Workforce Manager (WFMgr) preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products including; Word, Excel, and OutlookStrong knowledge of payroll best practicesExceptional organizational skillsAbility to work in a team-oriented environmentExceptional communication and interpersonal skillsWhy Join NaphCare?NaphCare is one of the largest providers of healthcare services to correctional facilities throughout the US, and we are growing.
