Senior Oracle Hyperion DeveloperWe are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Hyperion Developer to join our Application Development and Support team. This role requires deep expertise in Oracle Hyperion applications and a solid understanding of financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes. The ideal candidate will lead new development, enhancements, and production support activities while working closely with business partners.Key ResponsibilitiesApplication Development & EnhancementDesign, develop, and enhance solutions within Oracle Hyperion applications (Hyperion Planning, Essbase, Calculation Manager, Smart View, Financial Reporting).Build and maintain calculation scripts, business rules, forms, data integrations, and automation routines.Ensure new development follows best practices.Promote application changes across environments using established change-management procedures.Business Interaction & Requirements GatheringPartner with Lines of Business to gather technical and functional requirements.Analyze business problems and propose solution options.Translate requirements into technical specifications.Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.Production Support & OperationsProvide production support including issue triage and resolution.Monitor Hyperion system performance and scheduled processes.Troubleshoot application errors, data issues, and integration failures.Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end cycles.Coordinate and execute production deployments.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with infrastructure, database, middleware, and security teams for stable operations.Collaborate with ETL/data integration teams.Participate in architecture discussions for enhancements or modernization.Required QualificationsExtensive hands-on experience with Oracle Hyperion technologies, such as: Hyperion Planning, Essbase (Block Storage Option / Aggregate Storage Option), Calculation Manager, Planning Web Forms and Task Lists, Smart View, Financial Reporting Studio, Lifecycle Management (LCM) for migrations.Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes supported by Hyperion.Experience designing and troubleshooting calculation scripts, business rules, and data integrations.Proficiency with automation tools (e.g., batch scripts, MaxL, EPM Automate) used in Hyperion processes.Ability to work directly with business stakeholders to analyze requirements and create solution designs.Experience supporting production environments.Strong problem-solving capabilities, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience with data integration tools (e.g., FDMEE or ODI).Knowledge of relational databases (SQL) as used with Hyperion integrations.Familiarity with financial close, reporting, or planning processes in a corporate environment.Soft SkillsAbility to work independently and lead initiatives.Strong ownership and accountability.Ability to manage multiple priorities.Collaborative mindset.
