Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support precision electro-mechanical systems used in advanced technology applications.
- Create innovative design concepts, evaluate technical solutions, troubleshoot engineering challenges, and ensure product quality throughout development.
- Develop, analyze, and validate mechanical assemblies and integrated system designs.
- Produce and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including drawings, models, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate mechanical, electrical, and optical technologies into complete system solutions.
- Perform engineering analyses to assess design feasibility, manufacturability, performance, cost, and schedule requirements.
- Support prototype development, product testing, validation, and system integration activities.
- Work collaboratively with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to transition designs from concept through production.
- Ensure engineering activities comply with internal standards, customer requirements, and applicable industry regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 10+ years of experience designing and developing complex precision mechanical or electro-mechanical systems.
- Strong background in precision engineering, mechanical design principles, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and designing products for advanced manufacturing environments.
- Experience working within regulated industries and maintaining compliance with applicable documentation, security, or export control requirements is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate technical challenges, identify practical engineering solutions, and effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance technical requirements, business objectives, and project timelines.
