Senior Operations Manager

KYDA Partners has partnered with a growing medical technology organization to appoint a Senior Operations Manager for its manufacturing operation in Franklin, Wisconsin.

This is a key leadership hire within an established FDA-regulated medical device manufacturing site undergoing continued investment and operational development.

We are looking for an experienced manufacturing leader who can drive continuous improvement, cost reduction and operational performance , while developing a strong team and working collaboratively across Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain and other functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing and operational activities across the Franklin facility.
• Manage, coach and develop production teams and front-line leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives across the site.
• Identify and implement meaningful cost-saving, productivity and efficiency improvements.
• Establish, monitor and improve operational KPIs to drive measurable performance.
• Ensure production schedules, customer requirements and inventory objectives are achieved.
• Partner closely with Quality and Regulatory teams within an FDA-regulated environment.
• Support facility, maintenance, warehouse, inventory and related operational activities.
• Contribute to capital projects, operational planning and the implementation of new processes and technologies.
• Support regulatory, customer and internal audits.
• Build accountability, engagement and capability across the manufacturing organization.
• Partner cross-functionally with Quality, Regulatory, Engineering, Supply Chain and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business or a related field required.
• 5–8+ years of experience within operations, manufacturing, supply chain or a related function, including progressive leadership responsibility.
• Proven experience leading teams and managing operational performance within a manufacturing environment.
• Medical device manufacturing experience is strongly preferred; candidates from other highly regulated manufacturing environments will also be considered.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven track record of leading manufacturing teams and improving operational performance.
• Demonstrable experience implementing continuous improvement, productivity and cost-reduction initiatives .
• Strong understanding of FDA, cGMP, ISO and/or similar regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience establishing and managing operational KPIs and using data to drive measurable improvement.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, supply chain and inventory management.
• Experience managing departmental budgets, operating expenses and/or capital expenditures.
• Strong project management, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Ability to partner effectively with Quality, Regulatory, Engineering, Supply Chain and other technical functions.
• Strong people leadership, coaching and team-development capabilities.
• Experience working with ERP/business management systems.

Preferred Experience

• Medical device manufacturing experience.
• Engineering or technically oriented manufacturing background.
• Experience supporting manufacturing expansion, facility upgrades, new process implementation or operational transformation.
• Experience participating in regulatory, customer or quality audits.
• Lean, Six Sigma or other formal continuous improvement experience would be advantageous.
