We're seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager to oversee manufacturing operations at a growing electronics production facility near Austin, TX. This position is responsible for leading plant performance, developing high-performing teams, and driving continuous improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.


Core Responsibilities



  • Direct all aspects of daily manufacturing operations to ensure production goals, quality expectations, and customer commitments are consistently achieved.

  • Provide leadership across multiple production areas, including electronic assembly, inspection, testing, and fulfillment operations.

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline manufacturing processes through operational excellence initiatives.

  • Work closely with engineering, planning, purchasing, and quality teams to resolve production challenges and maintain workflow.

  • Establish production priorities, allocate resources, and adjust schedules to meet changing business demands.

  • Evaluate operational performance using key business metrics and implement corrective actions when needed.

  • Ensure manufacturing activities meet customer requirements and applicable quality and safety standards.

  • Develop, mentor, and coach supervisors and production leaders while promoting employee engagement and accountability.

  • Support customer visits, quality audits, and compliance reviews by maintaining operational readiness.

  • Lead cost-reduction initiatives focused on productivity, labor utilization, quality improvements, and overall plant performance.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related technical discipline is preferred.

  • At least seven years of leadership experience within an electronics manufacturing or contract manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrated success managing high-volume production operations and leading cross-functional teams.

  • Working knowledge of electronic assembly processes, manufacturing best practices, and industry quality standards.

  • Experience driving Lean manufacturing, process optimization, and continuous improvement programs.

  • Comfortable using ERP/MRP systems, production reporting tools, and performance dashboards to support operational decision-making.

  • Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
