Senior Operations EngineerThe Sr. Balance of Plant (BOP) Operations Engineer role will oversee and direct work activities within Holtec and its subcontractors on balance of plant structures, systems, and components. This role is tasked with informing design configurations with valuable operability insights to ensure appropriate functionality, optimize reliability and cost, and ensure compliance with U.S.

nuclear industry best practices.Location: Camden, NJPrimary Responsibilities:Review system documentation including P&ID, design descriptions, and specificationProvide functionality and maintenance reviews for systemsInform system and component maintenance requirements and approachesSupport development of equipment specifications for Balance of Plant equipment and major subcontractsProvide operator insight to system operations and human-system interfacesAssist in developing system configurations to achieve startup and shutdown objectives for the balance of plantSupport development and knowledge exchange within a cross-functional BOP engineering team, comprised of across traditional engineering fieldsSupport development of Safety Analysis Report contentsRequirements:10+ years of Commercial Nuclear Power Plant experience, specifically pressurized water reactors (PWRs) as reactor operator or senior reactor operatorExcellent understanding of the PWR systems and their operating conditions for all modes of operationEffective communication, organizational and interpersonal skillsExcellent attention to detail and capable of producing error-free documentsStrong problem-solving and computer skillsBachelor's Degree in Engineering or in lieu of Degree, 15+ years of Commercial PWR Plant experience (preferred)Demonstrated experience with balance of plant systems, including steam, water, air, electric, and waste heat systemsCompensation: Annual compensation based on skills and experience ranging from $140,000-$160,000.
