Job Summary
This role coordinates shipments according to customer instructions (SOPs) and ensures compliance with DOT regulations and internal policies. The incumbent provides solutions for transportation issues and inquiries.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute ocean marine drayage services for FCL movements through orders received from US Branches via the TMS.
- Ensure delivery and pick‑up services are completed on time and in full without exceptions.
- Select and dispatch pick‑up and delivery orders to truckers within the pre‑confirmed MCT database.
- Manage chassis pool operations with providers to maximize profitability.
- Review, record, and develop solutions for repetitive service failures.
- Streamline proactive container tracking communications regarding potential bottlenecks with the customer management team.
- Understand all FCL transport needs by region for both import and export customers.
- Prioritize time‑sensitive cargo and monitor daily pick‑ups and deliveries to ensure timely tendering to carriers.
- Negotiate pricing as needed to maximize profits and capitalize on one‑way opportunities.
- Ensure proper reporting, carrier invoicing, and system event updates are completed accurately and timely.
- Support maintenance of the trucking carrier database, including rates and expiration dates.
- Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and internal guidelines.
- Perform any other duties assigned as needed.
Educational Background / Work Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in logistics and a customer‑service environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong understanding of ocean export/import operations and transload operations.
- Experience in trucking carrier deliveries/recovery processes and terminal port/CY requirements.
- Ability to remain composed under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong email and telephone etiquette.
- Capability to troubleshoot day‑to‑day pick‑up or delivery issues.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced setting.
Language Skills
- Fluent in English (oral and written).
Computer Literacy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Compensation
Expected base pay: $58,000 – $78,500 per year. Actual compensation will be determined by job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, location, and other objective factors.
