Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re looking to hire a Senior NSX-T & Tanzu Platform SME for a remote Contract Opportunity with our client.

We have an immediate requirement for a Senior NSX-T & Tanzu Platform Engineer to support a customer upgrading Tanzu Application Service v6 ? v10, which includes significant impacts to NSX-T, NSX Container Plugin (NCP), and Manager-to-Policy (MP2P) migration.

100% Remote EST

This role is for a SME who can make recommendations. This is NOT a FT Contract role, we are looking for a consultant for an as needed basis.

Core Requirements

• 5–7+ years VMware NSX-T (architecture, LB, DFW, tiers, segments).
• Direct, hands‑on experience with NSX‑T Manager ? Policy (MP2P) migrations.
• Strong experience with NSX Container Plugin (NCP) in TAS, Kubernetes, TKGI, or OpenShift.
• Experience integrating Tanzu Application Service (TAS) with NSX‑T (foundations, orgs, ASGs, DFW).
• Linux networking competency (OVS kernel modules, routes, AppArmor, secure boot issues).

Nice to Have

• Prior work on TAS foundation migrations.
• Broadcom / VMware partner experience.
• Experience with multi‑cluster, large‑scale environments.

Soft Skills

• Strong troubleshooting ability using logs, APIs, and NSX/NCP internals.
• Clear communicator. Able to explain risk, migration plans, and rollback paths.
• Comfortable in high‑risk production migration environments.
