Senior Nonprofit Controller

Leading complex nonprofit engagements, the fully remote Senior Nonprofit Controller will manage client relationships, mentor other Controllers, and drive process improvements while delivering financial insights and audit preparation for multi-entity organizations. Key responsibilities Partner with CFO and Accountant to oversee complex nonprofit client work, including multi-entity organizations Mentor Controllers and support the development of the nonprofit delivery team Lead audit preparation processes and manage complex grant portfolios with multiple funding sources Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration (CPA preferred) 10+ years of progressive nonprofit accounting experience with team leadership Deep expertise in nonprofit fund accounting, grant management, and GAAP-compliant financial reporting Proven experience leading audit engagements and managing auditor relationships Strong client-facing communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
