Seeking an experienced IP networking professional, the full-time Senior NOC Technician will manage 24/7 network monitoring, troubleshoot complex Layer 2 and Layer 3 issues, and collaborate with engineering teams and vendors to resolve advanced network problems in a remote setting. Key responsibilities: Monitor Network Management systems for alarms and performance metrics, addressing potential security threats Log and manage trouble tickets, prioritizing issues and updating statuses with resolution details Troubleshoot complex IP routing and switching issues while providing second-level support for Tier 1 groups Required qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred 4-7 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, preferably in service provider networking Strong foundation in IP networking and routing, with experience in Layer 2 and Layer 3 troubleshooting Familiarity with industry standards and protocols, including Ethernet, MPLS, and various transmission technologies Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
