Senior Network Security EngineerJob Description: Job Description About the Role The Sr. Principal Engineer, Digital Global Networks and Network Security is responsible for supporting network and network security solutions across environments. This role requires advanced knowledge in network security infrastructure combined with knowledge of and ZTNA solutions.
Your Team This role reports to the Executive Director, Digital Infrastructure, Cloud and Foundation Services. The position does not have direct people management responsibility but is expected to provide mentorship to the operations team.What You Will DoAct as a technical expert for network and network security solutions across the organizationProvide input on architecture, design, and evolution of network and network security platformsSupport network security initiatives and definition of technical strategyGuide project, and service direction, including prioritizationSupport evolution of architectural standards, and operational guidelines for support teamsServe as a contributor to the team on network and network security strategyBe able to communicate technical concepts clearlyMaintain and continuously improve network and security capabilities in alignment with best practicesSupport multiple concurrent initiatives in fast-paced, globally distributed environmentsProvide technical support to operations engineers and contribute to the development of organizational capabilityWhat You Need to Be Successful10+ years of experience in Network Security Architecture and Design5+ years of experience designing and operating Networking environments including load balancers, and security appliancesCisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP – Security / Enterprise / Routing & Switching) or equivalent experienceDemonstrated experience supporting security and zero-trust network programsStrong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative solutionsAbility to operate effectively with minimal direction in ambiguous and evolving environmentsBonus Points if You HaveAWS or Azure Specialty certification in Networking and/or SecurityExperience with ITIL v3+ frameworks and service management processesWorking knowledge of F5 load balancers, firewalls, and advanced routing protocolsExperience contributing to enterprise architecture or long-term technology strategyWhat Makes You EligibleExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishWillingness to travel up to 10%, domestic or internationalFlexibility in working hours due to the nature of global infrastructureThe expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000. Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience.
