Senior Network EngineerPeraton is seeking a self-driven and resourceful Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic team of Network and UC engineers in Washington, DC. This position focuses on firewall technologies, intrusion prevention systems, network access control, and enterprise security architectures supporting classified and mission-critical environments.Senior Network Engineer responsibilities:Drive modernization efforts by engineering and implementing infrastructure improvements, automation capabilities, and technology refresh initiativesDesign and implement secure network architectures.Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, IPS/IDS, and NAC solutions.Analyze and mitigate network security threats and vulnerabilities.Perform network segmentation and zero-trust architecture implementation.Develop security standards, procedures, and technical documentation.Support cybersecurity compliance initiatives.Conduct security assessments and remediation activities.Collaborate with Cybersecurity and Operations teams.Required Qualifications:An active/current TS/SCI Security Clearance is required.Bachelors degree in engineering (or similar technical field) and 12+ years relevant experience; an additional four years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.PCNSE (preferred vendor certification)CISSP or CCNP-Security.DoD 8140/8570 Compliant.Extensive experience with:Palo Alto Networks firewallsCisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA)Enterprise VPN technologiesNAC solutionsDesired Qualifications:GIAC certificationsGCIAGWAPTPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
