Senior Network Engineer

**Job Title: Senior Network Engineer****Location: Salt Lake City, UT (Hybrid, 2-3 days per week)** We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team in a hybrid capacity. This individual will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network infrastructure across both datacenter and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in enterprise networking and firewall technologies, and a strong understanding of secure, scalable, and high-performance network architectures.**Key Responsibilities:*** Design, deploy, and manage complex Layer 2 and Layer 3 network topologies in hybrid (on-prem and cloud) environments* Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise firewall solutions, with a focus on security and segmentation* Collaborate with security, systems, and DevOps teams to support network infrastructure supporting mission-critical applications* Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and configuration management across network environments* Lead root cause analysis of network-related issues and outages* Contribute to documentation, diagrams, and runbooks for operational excellence* Support compliance initiatives through secure architecture and audit preparation**Required Qualifications:*** 7+ years of professional experience in enterprise network engineering* Demonstrated expertise in **firewall configuration, rule management, and troubleshooting** (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/FTD, Fortinet, etc.)* Strong experience with **datacenter switching, routing, and network segmentation*** Proven experience with **cloud networking** in AWS, Azure, or GCP (e.g., VPCs, VPNs, routing tables, security groups)* Solid understanding of protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLAN, VXLAN, IPsec, and DNS* Proficient in using tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, or other packet analysis utilities**Preferred Qualifications:*** Experience with **Juniper switches or routers** (e.g., EX, QFX, MX series)* Familiarity with **Aruba ClearPass** or similar NAC solutions* Experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)* Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, JNCIS/JNCIP, AWS Networking Specialty)A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is:$113, ,300.00 USD The actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs.
