This role leads advanced routing, firewall, wireless, and telephony initiatives while serving as a technical mentor and project lead for multi-site deployments.Location: 100% On-Site - 1 day remote after training | Sutter County, CA Salary: $120,000 - $130,000 per year (DOE)Key ResponsibilitiesArchitecture & Design: Build resilient campus, WAN/SD-WAN, and data center architectures; implement segmentation, HA frameworks, and policy-based routing.Implementation & Operations: Configure/manage firewalls, routers, switches, WAPs; support BGP/OSPF/EIGRP, IPsec/SSL VPNs, DNS/DHCP/NAT/QoS.Telephony Expertise: Support VoIP, SIP, RTP, SBCs, QoS for voice, UCaaS/CCaaS platforms, and secure voice communications.Troubleshooting & Monitoring: Lead L2/L3, VPN, SD-WAN, wireless, and performance issue resolution; drive incident response and post-mortems.Automation & Documentation: Use Python, Ansible, and Git for automation; maintain diagrams, runbooks, inventories, and change records.Security & Compliance: Manage ACLs, IDS/IPS, firewalls, NAT, and zero-trust segmentation; support annual third-party reviews.Leadership: Lead multi-site technical projects and mentor junior team members.QualificationsExtensive experience with enterprise networking, next-gen firewalls, routing protocols, wireless, and SD-WAN.Strong VoIP/telephony background including SIP, RTP, SBCs, QoS, UCaaS/CCaaS.Proficiency with automation tools (Python, Ansible, Git) and network documentation.Ability to lead projects, collaborate cross-functionally, and support complex multi-site environments.Strong troubleshooting, communication, and incident-management skills.
