Senior Network Engineer

Location: Greenwood Village, CO

Schedule: 4 days onsite / 1 day remote (Open to local candidates or candidates willing to relocate)

Employment Type: 6-Month W2 Contract-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $70/hour


Position Overview

Brooksource is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our client's Network Engineering team in Greenwood Village, CO. This is a hands-on technical role responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and support of a complex, multi-site enterprise network.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience across SD-WAN, enterprise routing, wireless networking, and data center infrastructure within a Cisco-centric environment. While 7-10 years of experience is preferred, the team is flexible for candidates who can demonstrate strong technical depth and problem-solving capabilities.


This position will begin as a 6-month contract with the intent to convert to a full-time employee.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, optimize, and support enterprise campus, WAN, wireless, and data center networks.
  • Own and support enterprise SD-WAN infrastructure, including deployment, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Configure and troubleshoot advanced enterprise routing environments, including BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, route redistribution, and VRF-Lite.
  • Design, implement, and troubleshoot enterprise wireless networks, including access points and centralized wireless controllers.
  • Support data center switching fabrics and high-availability network architecture.
  • Administer next-generation firewalls, including policies, intrusion prevention, threat protection, URL filtering, and security integrations.
  • Support remote-access and site-to-site IPSec VPN solutions.
  • Implement and maintain network access control utilizing AAA, TACACS+, RADIUS, and 802.1X.
  • Manage enterprise load-balancing and application-delivery technologies, including SSL offloading and traffic policies.
  • Support hybrid cloud connectivity, including technologies such as AWS Direct Connect and Azure ExpressRoute.
  • Leverage network monitoring, discovery, automation, and troubleshooting platforms.
  • Provide escalation support for complex network incidents.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation after completing the initial ramp-up period.
  • Lead network-related projects from planning and implementation through post-deployment review.
  • Maintain network standards, documentation, and engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with other engineers and internal technology teams.
  • Required Qualifications
  • Approximately 7-10 years of network engineering experience preferred; candidates with fewer years may be considered based on demonstrated technical depth.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with enterprise SD-WAN architecture, deployment, and operations.
  • Advanced knowledge of enterprise routing and switching.
  • Strong experience with BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, route redistribution, and VRF technologies.
  • Strong experience supporting enterprise wireless networking environments.
  • Experience with enterprise campus and edge networking.
  • Experience with data center networking and switching fabrics.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles.
  • Hands-on experience with next-generation firewalls.
  • Experience supporting remote-access and site-to-site VPN environments.
  • Knowledge of network access control technologies, including AAA, RADIUS, TACACS+, and 802.1X.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working in mid-to-large enterprise environments.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • CCNP-level knowledge or equivalent professional experience.
  • Active CCNP Enterprise, Security, or Data Center certification.
  • Wireless networking certifications or advanced enterprise wireless experience.
  • Experience with F5 or comparable enterprise load-balancing technologies.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as SolarWinds, LogicMonitor, OpManager, or ThousandEyes.
  • Network automation experience utilizing tools such as Python or Ansible.
  • Experience supporting hybrid cloud networking.


Schedule & On-Call Expectations

4 days onsite and 1 day remote each week in Greenwood Village / Fiddler's Green.

Standard 8-hour workday with some flexibility in start and end times. On-call rotation approximately every third or fourth week. Occasional after-hours and weekend support may be required once fully ramped into the environment.
