Base pay range

$65.00/hr - $75.00/hr

STAND 8 provides end to end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States and with offices in Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, and more including internationally in Mexico and India.
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer to lead and manage critical network projects. This role requires expert-level proficiency in Cisco switching, routing, and voice technologies, along with hands-on experience in Unified Threat Management (UTM) systems and next-generation firewall/security appliances. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network design, deployment, and optimization to support secure and scalable operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple network projects from design through implementation and troubleshooting.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco network equipment (switches, routers, voice systems).
• Implement and maintain next-generation firewall appliances and UTM solutions to enhance network security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network solutions with business objectives and best practices.
• Develop, document, and enforce network policies, procedures, and security standards.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior network staff, fostering continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in Cisco switching, routing, and voice systems.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale network projects and leading technical teams.
• Hands-on expertise with modern UTM solutions and next-generation firewall/security appliances.
• Experience with Network Access Control (NAC) systems.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Certifications (Preferred):
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or higher (CCIE preferred).
• Relevant certifications in UTM or next-gen firewall technologies.

Additional Details
The base range for this contract position is $65 - $75 /per hour, depending on experience.
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered.
