Senior Network EngineerMAG Aerospace is seeking to identify a Senior Network Engineer to support operations based out of Webster Outlying Field (WOLF), MD.This position will manage and support a high level NAWCAD program while designing local, regional, network systems and subsystems supporting voice, video, data, and imagery information. Additionally, lead teams to address complex projects.This position is contingent upon receipt of government funding and hiring authorization. At this time, a start date has not been determined. We are seeking to identify and engage highly qualified professionals for a talent pipeline.

Applicants may be contacted as program funding and hiring approvals are finalized.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Analyzes users' needs and makes recommendations on appropriate network configurations to meet users' needs and departmental standardsDesigns, configures, monitors, and optimizes local and wide area networks and printers for optimal performance, maximum availability, minimal maintenance, and reasonable costsDesigns, configures, maintains, and manages network security features for local and wide area networksAdds and deletes users as required on network servers and applicationsTroubleshoots network issues • Installs and upgrades network equipment and softwareAnalyzes, recommends, and evaluates new hardware, software, and communications products for network compatibility and applicabilityEstablishes, documents, and maintains network technical support processes and proceduresProvides network asset management including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specificationsEstablishes phone (voice) and network standards regarding new technologies and applicationsMonitors and tests network performance and provides network performance statistics and reportsWorks with cross-functional teams in the design and implementation of information technologyAssist in the training of other information systems personnel to improve their technical skillsAssist departmental management with development of systems standards, short- and long-term goals, project management, and strategic directionsKeeps current on new developments and techniques in information technologyActs as technical liaison between company, customers, and vendorsAs required provides technical support for bids and proposalsRequirementsMinimum requirements include the following:Experience:Of the minimum ten (10) years of required experience, ten (10) years of the experience must be in designing local, regional, network systems and subsystems supporting voice, video, data, and imagery information.Additionally, must have at least five (5) years of experience with leading teams to address complex projectsExperience in deploying wireless networks in industry or government environmentsExperience deploying encode and endedExperience working knowledge of CDMA, GSM, and LTE - Prefer working knowledge of commercial solutions for classified and NSA capability packagesProven knowledge of network infrastructure and network hardwareExcellent problem-solving skillsAbility to explain technical issues to all levelsAbility to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resourcesStrong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardwareAbility to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devicesAbility to create network mapsKeeps abreast of technology trendsEducation and Certifications:MUST HAVE an Active Cisco Certified Network Professional (CNNP) Certification.Master's Degree in an Engineering or Computer Science Discipline.Clearance:Must currently have a Top Secret Security ClearanceUS Citizenship requiredSpecial NoteThe position is contingent upon candidate's ability to meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position; including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local jurisdictional requirements.Benefits and CompensationAt MAG Aerospace, we value your contributions providing our employees with a robust Total Rewards package that supports your total well-being. Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 (annualized USD).
