Job Title: Sr Network Engineer

Location: Lakewood, CA (onsite)

Duration: Contract to hire

Job Description:

• Design, configure, and maintain switching network infrastructures and wireless systems .
• Work extensively with Cisco hardware (routers, switches, access points, firewalls).
• Troubleshoot network issues across Layer 1 (physical) , Layer 2 (data link) , and Layer 3 (network) .
• Implement and manage network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark, Nagios) to ensure system uptime and performance.
• Assist in network planning and capacity management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for infrastructure upgrades and security compliance.
• Perform regular system updates, patching, and hardware refreshes.
• Maintain documentation for network configurations, policies, and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in network infrastructure roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco technologies (Cisco certification preferred).
• Solid understanding of network protocols and wireless networking standards .
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and configuring devices across Layers 1–3 .
• Experience with network performance monitoring and diagnostic tools .
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with firewalls , load balancers , and VPN technologies .
• Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Knowledge of network automation (Python, Ansible) is advantageous.

A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum for this position is $80/Hr to $90/Hr with Limited benefits
