Akkodis is seeking a Senior Network Engineer- IPv6 for a 4 year contract job with a client in Herndon, VA.

Rate Range: $70/hr.-$75/hr.; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with strong IPv6 expertise to support network assessment, design, testing, and implementation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess network infrastructure for IPv6 readiness and identify gaps.
- Design and implement IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack networks and scalable IPv6 addressing plans.
- Develop HLD/LLD, topology diagrams, routing policies, and migration plans .
- Support IPv6 multicast routing , tunneling, NAT64/DNS64, and QoS.
- Perform lab testing, PoCs, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Work with security, systems, and application teams on end-to-end IPv6 compatibility.
- Serve as an IPv6 SME , mentor engineers, and support CAB/change management activities.
- Key Skills: IPv6, IPv4/IPv6 Dual Stack, Multicast, Cisco IOS/IOS-XE, Routing Protocols, HLD/LLD, Network Design, Testing & Troubleshooting.
