Instead, you'll work with a variety of clients, technologies, and infrastructure projects that keep your skills sharp and your work meaningful.From designing secure enterprise networks and deploying next-generation firewalls to leading infrastructure upgrades and mentoring fellow engineers, you'll play a critical role in helping organizations modernize and secure their IT environments.If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where every project is different and you're ready to take ownership from design through deployment, we'd love to meet you.What You'll DoAs a Senior Network Engineer, you'll lead and execute complex infrastructure projects while serving as a trusted technical resource for both clients and internal teams.Your responsibilities will include:Designing and implementing secure, scalable enterprise network solutionsDeploying and supporting routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, VPNs, and related infrastructureLeading network refreshes, migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and modernization projectsPerforming advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex networking issuesOptimizing network performance, availability, and securityConducting infrastructure assessments and recommending strategic improvementsCollaborating with engineers, project managers, and technical teams to ensure successful project deliveryCreating technical documentation, implementation plans, and network diagramsMentoring junior engineers and sharing technical expertise across the teamParticipating in scheduled after-hours maintenance windows when projects require minimal client disruptionTravel ExpectationsThis role includes regular travel to client locations throughout the Hudson Valley and surrounding regions.Travel varies based on active projects and client needs.

During our busiest season—particularly throughout the summer months when many clients complete technology refreshes, infrastructure upgrades, and school district projects—you should expect increased travel and time onsite to support successful project execution.If you enjoy getting out from behind a desk, working hands-on with technology, and seeing projects through from start to finish, you'll find this role both rewarding and challenging.What You'll BringWe're looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with excellent communication and a passion for delivering exceptional client experiences.Qualifications include:6+ years of enterprise network engineering experienceCurrent Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification requiredStrong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, QoS, ACLs, BGP, and OSPFExperience configuring and supporting Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki, Aruba, Ubiquiti, or similar enterprise networking platformsHands-on experience implementing and supporting firewalls and network security technologiesStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilitiesExperience using network monitoring and diagnostic tools such as SolarWinds, Wireshark, or similar platformsExcellent communication, documentation, and client relationship skillsAbility to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced consulting or managed services environmentValid driver's license with the ability and willingness to travel regularly to client locationsPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification required strongly preferredAdditional certifications such as Fortinet NSE, PCNSE, Aruba Professional, or equivalent are a plusExperience supporting multiple client environments or managed service providers (MSPs)Experience with cloud networking and hybrid infrastructure environmentsWhy Acture Solutions?At Acture Solutions, you'll work alongside talented engineers who enjoy solving challenging technical problems and helping organizations succeed.
