Senior Mortgage Loan OriginatorWe are seeking a Senior Mortgage Loan Originator to assist members with their mortgage lending needs, analyze loan requests, and make credit decisions based on mortgage lending policy. They will also provide direct support to other Mortgage Loan Originator's and processing staff.Key responsibilities include:Inputs complete and accurate residential loan applications according to established company and regulatory guidelines.Evaluates applications for approval/denial and makes requests to borrowers for any additional information necessary.Understands and articulates financial calculations and current rates and pricing.Establishes terms and conditions of approved loan.Completes rate lock for secondary market.Sends, receives and reviews application disclosure packets from borrowers.Develops business relationships with realtors and other professional referral sources.Attends networking functions, both during and after normal business hours.Maintains required NMLS registry, including compliance with all guidelines and continuing education.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Four to six years of similar or related experience.A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized certification or licensing preferred.Exceptional customer service experience is required.Strong communication skills and attention to detail.What we offer:Competitive salary and benefits.Opportunities for career growth.Supportive team environment.Schedule:Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.Saturday Hours 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Typically works one Saturday per month).Full Time Employees have a 40-hour work week within the hours listed above.Disclaimer: Must be able to work and travel to different credit union locations as determined by management.1 st MidAmerica is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
