You'll also play a vital role in process enhancements and cross-functional departmental projects.Your Impact:Evaluate, price, and propose rates and strategies for specific and aggregate benefits for self-funded prospectsManage assigned workload to meet productivity and time service standardsManage field office relationships regarding industry information, prospects, and regional medical trendsFormulate successful sales strategies with the sales team within general underwriting guidelines while ensuring profitabilityMake independent decisions on case work using general underwriting guidelinesAct as a resource for other underwriters, sales teams, underwriting assistants, and claimsAnalyze information such as industry, demographics, plan design, and PPO networks to determine acceptable risk levelsAccountable for the achievement of Profit, Persistency, and Growth Goals through financial analysis of employer groupsAble to be highly effective in a fast paced, seasonally very high production environment with constantly shifting priorities and ever present case level negotiationsSuccessful Candidate Will Have:BA/BS degree preferred; 5+ or more years of Stop-Loss product underwriting experienceRequires strong Microsoft Excel and Word knowledgeAbility to support/mentor Underwriting Assistant and underwriting staffOne80 Intermediaries is a privately held firm with offices throughout the US and Canada.
