We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer who brings deep technical expertise, field leadership, and the ability to drive outcomes in high-performance environments.This is a position for someone who:Owns system performance from design through executionUnderstands how complex mechanical systems operate as a wholeCan identify and solve issues before they impact operationsYou will work on large-scale, mission-critical data center projects where performance, reliability, and precision are non-negotiable.What you will do:Project leadership & execution:• Lead commissioning activities across the full lifecycle of a data center build to include L1-L5• Execute functional testing, witness testing, and system validation• Manage assignments within schedule, budget, and quality expectationsTechnical expertise & problem solving:• Evaluate HVAC, chillers, boilers, pumps, and automation systems• Troubleshoot system performance issues• Review design documentationClient engagement:• Lead meetings and communicate findings• Build relationships with clients and contractorsOperational contributions:• Complete reports and manage time and expensesTeam development:• Mentor junior engineers and support trainingWhat you bring:Core qualifications:• Degree in HVACR, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field• 5+ years experience in commissioning engineering• 3+ years of data center experience requiredTechnical capabilities:• Experience with HVAC, controls, automation, fire safety systems• Ability to read construction documentsProfessional skills:• Strong communication and problem-solving skillsPhysical requirements:• Ability to work in field environments and lift 30 lbsPreferred:• EIT, CEM, OSHA 30, BIM experience, Facility GridTravel requirements:Travel to project sites as needed based on project demands.Why FST:At FST, we value execution, accountability, and expertise. Salary range: $130,000 to $170,000
