Senior Mechanical Engineer to support plant engineering, manufacturing operations, equipment improvements, and capital projects.

This is an all-around engineering role requiring a strong background in mechanical engineering, industrial/manufacturing engineering, and plant engineering . The ideal candidate will be a hands‑on engineer who can work directly with Maintenance and Operations teams to troubleshoot equipment, improve processes, manage projects, and implement engineering solutions within a manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BS ME required) and significant experience supporting industrial manufacturing operations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage plant engineering projects focused on equipment improvements, process enhancements, and facility upgrades.
  • Design, modify, test, and implement new and existing manufacturing equipment.
  • Provide hands‑on engineering support to Maintenance and Manufacturing teams.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, motion, hydraulic, and process equipment issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through root cause analysis and problem‑solving methodologies.
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, timelines, and ROI calculations.
  • Assist with capital equipment projects from concept through implementation.
  • Create and interpret mechanical, electrical, and architectural drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Support equipment reliability, productivity improvements, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance and training related to new equipment and processes.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BS ME required).

  • 10+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or plant environment.
  • Strong experience in:
  • Mechanical engineering
  • Manufacturing/industrial engineering
  • Equipment troubleshooting and improvement
  • Experience supporting production, maintenance, and operations teams.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems, motion systems, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and PLC troubleshooting.
  • Experience reading and creating engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Chemical manufacturing or process manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with capital projects and equipment installations.
  • SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or Navisworks experience.
