Join a Leading Engineering Firm Serving North America's Industrial SectorAmerica At Work is recruiting on behalf of an established engineering consulting firm with more than 100 years of experience delivering engineering, EPC, and project management solutions for clients across the refining, petrochemical, energy, power generation, life sciences, mining, and food & beverage industries.We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with expertise in process piping, fixed equipment, refinery mechanical systems, and industrial facilities to join a highly respected engineering team.If you're looking for technically challenging projects, leadership opportunities, and the ability to influence major capital projects, we'd love to hear from you.What You'll DoAs a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will provide technical leadership on multidisciplinary engineering projects while serving as the primary mechanical engineering resource for refinery and industrial clients.Primary ResponsibilitiesLead mechanical engineering activities on refinery and industrial projectsDesign and review process piping systems (ASME B31.1 & B31.3)Prepare engineering calculations and code compliance documentationDevelop equipment specifications and data sheetsReview pressure vessels, tanks, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and rotating equipmentLead mechanical design reviews and quality assurance activitiesCoordinate with piping, structural, electrical, civil, and process engineering teamsSupport procurement by preparing bid packages and evaluating vendor proposalsParticipate in field walkdowns, construction support, and startup activitiesMentor junior engineers and provide technical leadershipInterface directly with clients, contractors, and project stakeholdersRequired Qualifications10+ years of mechanical engineering experienceRefinery, petrochemical, oil & gas, chemical processing, or heavy industrial experienceExperience leading engineering deliverables on capital projectsStrong understanding of mechanical equipment and process piping systemsTechnical ExpertiseWe're looking for candidates experienced with:Process Piping DesignFixed EquipmentPressure VesselsHeat ExchangersPumpsCompressorsTanksSeparatorsMechanical Equipment PackagesPiping SpecificationsMechanical CalculationsEquipment Data SheetsVendor Document ReviewsConstruction SupportPreferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) license preferredEIT certificationPrevious refinery project experienceExperience leading multidisciplinary engineering teamsExcellent client communication skillsWork ArrangementsWashington CandidatesHybrid schedule3 days/week in the Ferndale office2 days remoteUtah CandidatesPrimarily remoteSalt Lake City area preferredRequired Before StartingTWIC CardClient safety certificationsHHFT Safety TrainingBackground screeningDrug & alcohol testingAuthorization to work permanently in the United States (no employment sponsorship available)$115,000 - $145,000 a year
