We are expanding our engineering presence in the Minneapolis–St. Paul region and are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer who thrives in a fully on-site, collaborative setting.

Role Overview

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will lead the design, optimization, and validation of advanced mobile mechanical systems used in demanding industrial and oil & gas applications. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on problem-solving, mechanical creativity, and building equipment that performs reliably in high-pressure, high-load, and high-cycle environments.

This position is 100% on-site at our Minneapolis–St. Paul facility. No remote or hybrid work is available.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Development — Engineer mobile mechanical systems including hydraulic equipment, lifting systems, and field-service machinery.
  • Performance Optimization — Improve reliability, efficiency, and durability for harsh operating conditions.
  • CAD Modeling — Create detailed CAD models and drawings using Inventor (preferred), Pro-E, or SolidWorks.
  • Prototype & Validation — Test, refine, and validate equipment to meet API, ASME, and internal quality standards.
  • Troubleshooting — Diagnose field issues, reduce downtime, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration — Work closely with design, manufacturing, and field teams to deliver robust, field-ready solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of mechanical design experience in oil & gas or heavy industrial equipment.
  • Proficiency in Inventor, Pro-E, or SolidWorks.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, power units, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Proven ability to manage projects from concept through deployment.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and technical reporting skills.

Work Environment

  • 100% On-Site at our Minneapolis–St. Paul engineering facility.
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams, fabricators, and field technicians.
  • Occasional travel (~10%) to customer sites and fabrication partners.
