Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are partnering with a rapidly growing organization delivering a major, technically complex facility within the advanced energy sector. As the project progresses through engineering and construction, they are looking to add an experienced Mechanical Engineer to take ownership of critical mechanical and process systems.

This is a hands-on engineering position suited to someone who has worked on complex facilities within nuclear, oil & gas, chemicals, power generation, industrial manufacturing or another highly regulated process environment .

The Role

You will be responsible for mechanical and piping systems throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with engineering, procurement, equipment suppliers and construction teams.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Engineering and design of piping, fluid and mechanical systems
• Developing and reviewing specifications, calculations, drawings and technical documentation
• Reviewing piping layouts, equipment designs and vendor documentation
• Supporting ASME B31.3 process piping design and compliance
• Providing technical oversight of equipment suppliers and fabrication activities
• Supporting procurement and technical bid/vendor evaluations
• Reviewing and supporting FAT/SAT testing
• Working directly with construction teams to resolve field engineering issues
• Conducting equipment and system walkdowns during installation
• Supporting system turnover, testing and commissioning activities
• Ensuring engineering activities meet applicable quality and regulatory requirements

We are interested in experienced mechanical engineers with a strong background in some

combination of:

• ASME B31.3 Process Piping
• Piping design and/or stress analysis
• Fluid and thermal systems
• Tanks, pressure-containing equipment or mechanical equipment
• HVAC or industrial ventilation systems
• Pumps, valves and associated instrumentation
• Equipment specification and vendor management
• Engineering support during construction
• Quality-controlled or highly regulated engineering environments
