Our client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to research, plan, analyze, design, and develop mechanical products and systems. Products may include ammunition-handling systems, structures, gun systems, missile launchers, mechanisms, and related devices.
Pay Range: $58.00 - $63.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)

- Design and develop mechanical products, components, assemblies, and mechanisms.
- Create and maintain product parts, assemblies, and drawings using PTC Creo Parametric 11.
- Perform engineering analysis, experimentation, testing, and product-assurance activities.
- Analyze and interpret specifications, drawings, models, documents, and test results.
- Ensure designs comply with engineering standards, military specifications, and product requirements.
- Solve moderately complex mechanical design and development problems.
- Develop new technical documentation and revise existing documents.
- Contribute to technical papers, reports, and presentations.
- Provide technical presentations related to production-support activities when required.
- Work with internal and external manufacturing shops to produce designs.
- Support project leaders with project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Develop and maintain effective customer relationships.
- Remain current on relevant engineering practices, technologies, and industry trends.
- Maintain a safe work environment and comply with all applicable safety policies.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
- At least four years of relevant engineering experience.
- A master's degree with at least two years of relevant experience may also be considered.
- Working knowledge of creating moderately complex solid models and mechanical designs using CAD software.
- Experience with PTC Pro/ENGINEER or Creo is strongly preferred.
- Ability to solve moderately complex technical design and development problems.
- Experience working with internal or external manufacturing shops.
- Between 4 and 15 years of relevant professional experience.
- At least two years of experience with Creo modeling and drawing generation.
- Working knowledge of GD&T principles under ASME Y14.5-2009 or ASME Y14.5-2018.
- Working knowledge of tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Experience with an EPDM system, preferably Windchill.
- Familiarity with applicable military and commercial design standards.
- Experience in a military-product production environment.
- Experience developing precision assembly tooling.
- Familiarity with current engineering software, applications, and technologies.
