HIRING: Senior Mechanical Engineer
Franklin Fitch is partnering with a large innovative technology company seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer. This is an opportunity to take ownership of full product lifecycle development — from concept through to production — while working on high-performance mechanical designs. Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and launch of new products from concept through general availability.
- Ensure strict compliance with ISO 9001 change management protocols when executing engineering and design changes.
- Develop and execute test plans (DOE) and design fixtures to validate requirements.
- Adhere to established documentation and design standards.
- Design durable housings for PCBs and batteries that withstand shock, vibration, and ALT testing.
- Source materials and components for new designs.
- Select and configure machinery for new manufacturing processes.
- Stay current with the latest engineering technologies and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Required.
- 5+ years of professional mechanical design experience, with demonstrated success taking products from design to production.
- Advanced proficiency in SOLIDWORKS.
- Experience designing watertight seals and enclosures for consumer or industrial products.
- Expertise in injection molding, machining, and sheet metal design.
- Experience designing for high-temperature and high-pressure environments.
- Experience in GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and stress analysis.
- Familiarity with NPD gate processes and ISO 9001 environments.
Preferred but not needed
- Six Sigma Certification.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License.
- SOLIDWORKS Surface modeling experience.
- Mold design or ultrasonic welding experience.
