Job Summary

This role supports the Sentinel radar product line based in Fullerton, CA and may require domestic and international travel to suppliers. The position is onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative mechanical subsystems with solid modeling practices.
  • Create CAD drawings using tools such as Creo Parametric, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
  • Generate 3‑D design models and conceptual designs from preliminary sketches, diagrams, and engineering information.
  • Apply solid modeling practices and drawing creation using CAD tools such as Creo Parametric, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
  • Understand fabrication processes, capabilities, and limitations.
  • Provide transparent identification and communication of issues to functional leadership and engage resources (subject‑matter experts, etc.) to resolve production issues rapidly and efficiently.

Qualifications – Must Have

  • Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree and at least 5 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience as a senior mechanical engineer.
  • Prior experience with cost and schedule responsibilities.
  • Experience working across multiple product lifecycle stages of a radar production program.
  • Experience working across multiple functional and discipline organizations to successfully resolve technical challenges.
  • Position requires a minimum of 25% travel to suppliers and production facilities (domestic and international).

Qualifications – Preferred

  • Advanced degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or hardware system design.
  • Experience working in a factory supporting full‑rate production of radar components and assemblies.
  • Experience with suppliers that manufacture machined parts, panels, and electronics.
  • Experience in manufacturing and tolerancing radar mechanical systems.
  • Experience managing technical data packages in PDM.

Salary

The salary range for this role is $95,500USD – $181,700USD.
