Seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design and execution of mechanical systems for industrial, manufacturing, commercial, and mission-critical facilities. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop HVAC, utility, and piping systems from concept and detailed design through construction and commissioning. Must-Haves
- BS in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) and active PE license
- 8+ years of mechanical design experience supporting commercial and/or industrial facilities
- Strong background in HVAC, piping, utility systems, and equipment design
- Experience with BIM coordination and multidisciplinary project teams
- Knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA, IBC, and applicable mechanical codes
- Proven project leadership and mentoring experienceStrong analytical skills with the ability to optimize mechanical systems
- Ability to travel up to 25%
Plusses
- Experience with industrial, manufacturing, food & beverage, mission-critical, distribution, or commercial projects
- Exposure to controls/automation systems (PLCs, HMIs, VFDs)
- Energy modeling, commissioning, and FEL/FEED experience
- Client-facing experience including business development, proposals, and account growth
- AutoCAD and Bluebeam experience
Day-to-Day
- Lead the design of HVAC, piping, utility, and facility infrastructure systems
- Serve as a technical lead and SME on complex projects
- Perform calculations, equipment selection, system sizing, and engineering documentation
- Support project planning, client meetings, design reviews, and commissioning efforts
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across all project phases
- Mentor junior engineers and support business development initiatives
- Drive system optimization, operational efficiency, and project execution from concept through commissioning
