Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Permanent position for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to mentor junior staff and conduct and supervise all design and construction phases (including design calculations, equipment selection, and review of work by designers and junior engineers).
• Work directly with client to evaluate existing systems and develop design concepts and criteria based on goals and budgets.
• Design new mechanical systems, assuring compliance with codes and standards.
• Duties include generating project specifications, process submittals and proposals and conducting construction field reviews and investigations.
• Perform energy payback analysis.
• Manage project and staff to ensure project tasks are completed while maintaining project quality, schedules and budgets.
• Maintain and manage client and contractor relationships including presentations.
• Work with other senior mechanical engineers to ensure deliverables are met.

Qualifications

• BS Mechanical Engineering.
• Registered PE (professional engineer). 10+ years of experience with mechanical systems design of buildings.
• Must have managerial experience mentoring junior staff.
• Experience and knowledge of engineering calculation software and equipment selection programs.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit.
