Senior Mechanical Design EngineerLocation: Moorestown, NJ (Fully Remote)Duration: 6+ months XXXX: $90.00 on w-2Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Sensors, Effectors, and Mission Systems (SEMS) business team. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, able to work independently with minimal oversight, accomplish assigned tasks efficiently, have a strong "hands on" mechanical aptitude, and have strong engineering judgment with sound technical acumen. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and performing various aspects of design lifecycles and production support, including but not limited to:Conceptual and detailed part / assembly designTrade studiesEngineering drawings / technical data package creationDevelopmental / prototype buildsEngineering support during fabrication and build of production hardwareResponsibilities could also include:Creation and delivery of presentations to internal and external customersInvestigating discrepant hardware, components, or assemblies during assembly and integration activitiesThis is an exciting opportunity to work on various platforms, including naval, launching systems, and missile systems projects!Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace / Aeronautical EngineeringMinimum 5 years of professional (post-graduation) engineering experienceDemonstrated experience modeling within CAD modeling software such as Creo Parametric (detailed part and assembly design)Strong verbal and written communications skillsWorking proficiency in Microsoft Office productsExperience creating and modifying 2D drawings (Technical Data Packages)Desired SkillsDemonstrated experience in organizing project tasks and delegationWorking knowledge of EPDMDemonstrated knowledge of product design lifecycle (problem reports, change notices, etc.)
