RFA Engineering Sr. Mechanical Design EngineerRFA Engineering is an engineering service provider dedicated to delivering timely engineering support and expertise to clients. We are seeking an experienced candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team.
The selected candidates will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools and processes. This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility located near Milwaukee, WI.This is a full-time position with a full benefit package listed below that includes opportunities for professional growth, direct hire by our customers, and additional opportunities within our own organization.ResponsibilitiesDesign of mechanical assemblies, parts, and systems for products such as thermostats, pressure controls, temperature controls, and pneumatic controls.Lead drawing and design reviews focusing on manufacturability, quality, and clarity.Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing, and validation teams to optimize designs.Creates parts and assemblies using 3D CAD software (PTC CREO)Creates mechanical drawings, Bill of Materials information, and other documentation for product release.Apply GD&T (ASME Y14.5) to ensure accurate and functional documentation.Work in a team-friendly environment innovating new products for our clients.RequirementsBachelor's of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.5+ years of experience in mechanical design, product engineering, or quality engineering.Proficiency in engineering principles including but not limited to structural mechanics and electronics.Proficiency in 3D CAD - (CREO preferred).Knowledge of typical engineering standards in drawing practice, dimensioning and tolerancing, drawing symbols, welding practice, etc.Strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through work experience or hobbiesExcellent communication both written and verbalDemonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitmentsStrong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to thrive in a team environmentDesired AttributesExperience in 3-D Modeling Software (Creo, Solidworks, NX) preferredStrong understanding of GD&TExperience with parts data management systems such as Windchill PLM and SAP ERP (BOMs, part structures, change management).Experience in manufacturing environments, including collaboration with suppliers and production teams.Ability to address quality issues, determine root cause and drive to a corrective actionVisa sponsorship is NOT available for this position.
