Backed by joint staff level military leadership and several major SV firms, their first product is designed for immediate deployment around the world.Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled mechanical design engineer with a strong design and testing background. You will design, prototype, analyze, and test complex vehicle components and systems for aerospace rocket/missile systems.
You will own system components, subassemblies, architecture, and products from conception through to integrated testing and manufacture and be responsible for performance by executing analysis and environmental testing.Key Responsibilities :Own the design and development of next generation structures, mechanisms, and electromechanical hardwarePerform hand calculations and to develop, assess, and optimize designsPerform computational analysis on complex designs exposed to harsh conditions, both environmental and dynamic.Rapidly iterate on manufacturing processes and development testing in a fast-paced environmentLead design reviews internally and externally with suppliers and customersNegotiate complex trade studies to optimize for cost, schedule, safety, and performance, among other considerationsExemplify technical excellence and be accountable for your workQualifications:5+ years in Mechanical Design role experience in Aerospace and Defense industryBachelor's in aerospace or mechanical engineeringHigh proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo/ProE, NX, or Catia2+ years using computational analysis such as AnsysStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.Involvement in a professional engineering society or collegiate design projectITAR RequirementsTo conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S.
