This role involves leading mechanical design projects from concept through production, collaborating with internal teams and external partners, and ensuring timely, on-budget delivery of high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop mechanical systems, tooling, and equipment for production and R&D.
* Lead project planning, execution, and technical direction.
* Produce detailed designs using AutoCAD Inventor, CATIA, and MicroStation.
* Support installation, integration, and testing of mechanical systems.
* Collaborate with controls engineers, vendors, and field teams.
* Ensure compliance with design standards, GD&T, and industry regulations.
* Prepare technical reports and present findings to stakeholders.
* Travel up to 25% as needed for project support.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* 6+ years of mechanical design experience.
* Proven track record in the automotive or conveyance sectors.
* Strong knowledge of CAD tools, GD&T, and engineering fundamentals.
* Experience working with cross-functional teams and external partners.
