We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer who brings deep technical expertise, field leadership, and the ability to drive outcomes in high-performance environments.This is not a documentation-driven role.
This is a position for someone who:Owns system performance from design through executionUnderstands how complex mechanical systems operate as a wholeCan identify and solve issues before they impact operationsYou will work on large-scale, mission-critical data center projects where performance, reliability, and precision are non-negotiable.What You Will DoProject Leadership & ExecutionLead commissioning activities across the full lifecycleExecute functional testing, witness testing, and system validationManage assignments within schedule, budget, and quality expectationsTechnical Expertise & Problem SolvingEvaluate HVAC, chillers, boilers, pumps, and automation systemsTroubleshoot system performance issuesReview design documentationClient EngagementLead meetings and communicate findingsBuild relationships with clients and contractorsOperational ContributionsComplete reports and manage time and expensesTeam DevelopmentMentor junior engineers and support trainingWhat You BringCore QualificationsDegree in HVACR, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field7+ years experience or 3+ years commissioningData center experience requiredTechnical CapabilitiesExperience with HVAC, controls, automation, fire safety systemsAbility to read construction documentsProfessional SkillsStrong communication and problem-solving skillsPhysical RequirementsAbility to work in field environments and lift 30 lbsPreferredEIT, CEM, OSHA 30, BIM experienceTravel RequirementsTravel to project sites as needed based on project demandsWhy FSTAt FST, we value execution, accountability, and expertise.
