Resolves issues involving customer requirements and or customer shipping methods. Essential duties, Responsibilities and Competencies:Prepares orders for customers.Print Daily Register, provide POD for all shipments and attach to register for accounting.File all copies of packing slips and Bill of Lading on shipments shipped prior day.Read all e-mails for any required documents needed from freight forwarders due to losing them.E-mail copies of invoices and packing slips requested by customers.Type Tracking information on a spreadsheet for Sales Reps.Generates labels for orders shipping UPS.Generate VMI invoices for shipments shipping for consignment orders.Proofreads orders packaged.Release inventory and prints packing slips.Enters all orders released in ZZOEQCS for generating of certification.Reviews all orders and prepare for shipment.Answer e-mails from freight forwarders, sales department, or issues with orders.Uses computer to review, determine and verity customer quantity and requirements for shipping.Generates paperwork for all shipments.International shipments:SLI (Shipper Letter of Instructions)INT number (Electronic Export Information Form needed for shipping)E-mail freight companies for method of shipment with invoices, SLI and Spread Sheets.Generate Barcode labels for shipments that require barcodes.Use Portals necessary for shipping instructions:SCI (Supply Chain Integrator)My Supply on ServicesFollow up on e-mails not answered with shipping instructions.Customers that require barcode labels: Generates labels for all boxes for each shipment.Barcode Portals:ExsostarESISOther duties as assigned.The pay scale for this position ranges from $18.37-$34.18 an hour.QualificationsOTHER COMPETENCIES:Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to identify research and resolve problems. Ability to perform duties where a high level of independent judgment and action are required.Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software and Word Processing software.Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Three (3) years experience in a general office or shipping department environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
