Responsibilities
- Assist the Copy & Creative Director with developing, writing, and editing content across a variety of formats and channels, including web, email, social media, blogs, print, and direct mail.
- Help maintain a consistent brand voice and ensure all content adheres to Federation messaging and editorial guidelines.
- Support the production of marketing assets in coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Develop and execute social media strategy across the Federation's platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn), encompassing both paid and organic content.
- Write, schedule, and publish social media content in alignment with the organizational content calendar and campaign priorities.
- Manage paid social campaigns including audience targeting, budget tracking, and performance monitoring.
- Analyze engagement data and provide regular reporting with insights and recommendations to inform ongoing strategy.
- Collaborate with teams across the organization — including Philanthropy, Events, and Community Impact — to gather information, donor stories, grantee highlights, etc. and translate it into compelling content that showcases the impact of the Federation’s work.
- Support the Managing Director, Marketing in drafting press releases, and managing press inquiries as needed.
- Support the Digital Marketing Manager in executing email campaigns in Mailchimp, including editing, formatting, and scheduling as needed.
- Assist the marketing team on various ad hoc projects and evolving department priorities as needed.
Requirements
- 8-10 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience leading people and complex projects across content creation, social media, and email marketing.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and platforms.
- Experience managing and creating content for social media campaigns in a professional setting, including paid and organic.
- Experience using social media management tools and interpreting analytics (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or similar).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Familiarity with brand guidelines and the ability to apply them consistently across channels.
- Familiarity with marketing automation or email platforms (e.g., Adobe Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Mailchimp, or similar).
- Adobe Creative Suite or Canva experience for light design and asset coordination.
