Senior Marine Underwriter

To support the establishment of a new marine insurance venture, the full-time Senior Marine Underwriter will be responsible for building a broker distribution network, underwriting yacht and marine hull business, and representing the company in the UK and EU markets. Key responsibilities Establish and grow the distribution network while driving new business acquisition and maintaining existing broker relationships Underwrite new and renewal risks, ensuring disciplined risk selection and pricing adequacy Act as the primary market-facing representative, enhancing the company's reputation and commercial performance in the marine insurance sector Required qualifications At least 5 years of experience in marine hull underwriting with a proven track record of profitability Established relationships within the London Market and a recognized market presence Strong technical skills in risk assessment, pricing, and policy structuring Experience working within a delegated authority framework, such as an MGA or coverholder CII qualified or equivalent preferred
