Manufacturing Engineer
Join Stryker's manufacturing team and help drive operational excellence in a regulated medical device reprocessing environment. This role focuses on improving manufacturing processes, supporting new product introductions, increasing production capacity, reducing scrap, and enhancing safety through data-driven engineering practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and implement sustainable improvements across manufacturing operations.
What You Will Do
- Analyze manufacturing processes using statistical methods, Lean principles, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Six Sigma tools to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.
- Lead process improvement initiatives that increase production capacity, reduce scrap rates, optimize manufacturing performance, and improve workplace safety.
- Support new product introductions, design changes, and product transfers by implementing processes, training production teams, and ensuring manufacturing readiness.
- Develop and execute technical studies, failure analyses, validation activities, and engineering protocols, and generate supporting reports and documentation.
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures, standard work, visual work instructions, and troubleshooting processes to support consistent manufacturing performance.
What You Will Need
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or a related engineering role.
- Experience supporting engineering change orders, process changes, or manufacturing implementation activities.
- Experience developing, executing, or supporting technical testing, analysis, or validation activities.
- Experience using project planning and tracking tools to support engineering projects.
Preferred:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical device or regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience supporting FDA and ISO-regulated products, processes, or quality systems.
USN: $77,700 - $129,500 USD Annual
Travel Percentage: 10%
