Our client is a high-tech facilities manufacturer looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to be responsible for fabrication & assembly processes, continuous improvement, tooling, and manufacturing and plant layouts
Responsibilities
* Process Development Project Management - ensuring completion from start to finish
* Supports and/or leads product launch activities
* Review engineering specifications, process flows, and other information to understand methods and activities in manufacturing and services
* Define how to manufacture parts or products, or deliver services, with maximum efficiency
* Develop quality control procedures to resolve production problems or minimize costs
* Work with customers and management to develop standards for design and production
* Confer with clients concerning product specifications, vendors about purchases, management personnel about manufacturing capabilities, and staff about the status of projects
* Develop, recommend, and implement initiatives to improve production metrics and financial performance
* Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors
* Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes
* Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements
* Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, or relevant experience
* At least 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a similar manufacturing environment required
