As the Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will drive improvements within value streams aligned with yearly targets in Safety, Internal and External Quality, On‑Time Delivery/Lead Time reduction, and Productivity. You will be a key member of the Value Stream leadership team, responsible for day‑to‑day results and the development and execution of data‑supported, root‑cause focused action plans that support breakthrough KPI results. Your role includes LEAN (DBS) implementation, project management, enhanced technical skill development, and effective leadership and communication.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

  • Provide technical expertise to support and facilitate daily manufacturing operations of manufacturing equipment, including addressing documentation, process, and material flow gaps or opportunities.
  • Lead the implementation of Lean/DBS tools via formal and informal Kaizens to achieve and sustain targeted performance levels. Conduct root cause analysis and develop timely solutions for issues arising on current product and in the production process.
  • Research and implement advanced technology solutions that help the value stream achieve breakthrough results in Safety, Quality, Delivery/Lead Time reduction, Inventory, and/or Productivity.
  • Work with engineering, supervisors, purchasing, and continuous improvement teams to prioritize projects.
  • Oversee the development of new processes, methods, and production controls, and prepare operations manuals for new or existing equipment.

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace Engineering, or another related engineering field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related role.
  • Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), statistical tolerance analysis techniques, functional dimensioning, and tolerance analysis.
  • Strong quality process background with knowledge of FMEA, DOE, and Failure Analysis.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with complex manufacturing processes.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements

  • Essential physical demands include stamina to stand or walk for 8–10 hour shifts, the ability to lift up to 30–50 pounds, and fine motor skills for operating delicate measurement tools and assembling parts.
  • Ability to travel as required up to 10%.

It Would Be a Plus If You Also Possess Previous Experience In

  • High volume manufacturing.
  • Problem solving and analysis skills.
  • Designing cutting tools and holding fixtures for CNC and manual mill and lathe operations using CAD.
  • CNC and/or manual grinding experience.
  • Experience creating CNC programs for multi‑axis CNC mills and lathes.
  • Knowledge of GDT, Aerospace Mil‑Specifications, and ability to interpret complex detailed machine drawings with section views.
