We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to support a high-volume, precision metal manufacturing environment within the medical device industry. This role combines hands‑on process engineering with strategic involvement in costing and quoting activities.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Engineering (70%)
- Drive process improvements in high-volume production environments
- Lead new product introductions (NPI)
- Develop tooling, fixtures, and optimized manufacturing processes
- Analyze and resolve production issues using structured problem-solving methods
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve quality, efficiency, and cost
Costing and Quoting (30%)
- Identify manufacturing methods and key cost drivers
- Develop cost estimates for new business opportunities
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to support new program launches
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Experience in high-volume production environments
- Strong understanding of cycle times, scrap rates, and cost drivers
- Experience supporting process improvement and NPI initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with progressive stamping
- Background in CNC machining or metal manufacturing processes
- Exposure to costing and quoting processes
