Senior Manufacturing Engineer Location: Long Beach, CA. Salary: Competitive + Benefits

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes to support increasing production volumes.
  • Design and implement tooling, fixtures, jigs, and shop aids.
  • Support the transition of products from prototype through to full-scale production.
  • Work closely with technicians and production personnel to resolve manufacturing challenges.
  • Lead manufacturing improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, and quality.
  • Assist with production floor layout planning and facility expansion projects.
  • Support a wide variety of engineering and manufacturing tasks, from process development to practical workshop improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities and identify opportunities to streamline manufacturing operations.

Required Experience

  • Welding and fabrication processes
  • Machining and workshop equipment, including Bridgeport mills and drilling equipment
  • Tooling, fixtures, and production equipment design
  • Manufacturing process development and optimisation
  • Production scale-up and manufacturing improvement initiatives
  • Leading or mentoring technicians and production personnel
  • CAD design experience, ideally using NX or SolidWorks
  • Ideal Background Experience from the following sectors would be highly advantageous: Aerospace Automotive, particularly start-ups or high-growth manufacturing environments Other highly regulated manufacturing industries

Experience We are open to candidates with approximately 5-15+ years' experience , with greater emphasis placed on practical capability, attitude, and problem-solving skills than on a specific number of years in industry.
