Mitten Extracts is seeking a highly adaptable and operationally driven Senior Manufacturing Director to lead multi‑site manufacturing operations during a critical phase of growth, operational maturity, and organizational scaling.

This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader who can successfully bridge strategic business objectives with disciplined manufacturing execution. The ideal candidate will bring operational rigor without unnecessary bureaucracy, balancing efficiency, accountability, and cultural alignment across production, packaging, fulfillment, finance, sales, and executive leadership.

This position will serve as a key operational leader and strategic partner to executive leadership, helping build the systems, processes, and teams necessary to support sustainable growth while preserving the entrepreneurial culture that drives our success.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Lead and oversee daily manufacturing operations across multiple departments including Production, Packaging, Fulfillment, and Operations.
  • Drive operational excellence while maintaining speed, flexibility, and execution in a high‑growth environment.
  • Improve production planning accuracy, scheduling, throughput, and cross‑functional coordination.
  • Develop scalable systems, KPIs, workflows, and operational visibility across sites.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities, process improvements, and efficiency initiatives.
  • Strengthen operational accountability while preserving an entrepreneurial culture.

Strategic Execution

  • Partner closely with executive leadership to align manufacturing execution with company growth objectives.
  • Improve inventory management, production forecasting, supply chain efficiency, and cash flow performance.
  • Support ERP/MRP optimization and operational process alignment.
  • Build strong vendor and supply chain partnerships to improve reliability and scalability.
  • Help drive organizational maturity without over‑corporatizing the business.

Leadership & Culture

  • Serve as a unifying leader across production, sales, finance, and leadership teams.
  • Build trust with both frontline operators and executive stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, adaptability, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead through influence, emotional intelligence, and operational credibility rather than hierarchy or intimidation.
  • Translate operational realities into actionable business decisions across departments.

Key 12‑Month Outcomes

  • Reduce cash conversion cycle by approximately 30 days
  • Improve production planning accuracy versus execution
  • Increase operational visibility and accountability across sitesStrengthen vendor and supply chain partnerships
  • Improve alignment between operations, finance, and sales

  • Support cultural alignment between production, sales, and leadership teams

  • Strong understanding of SOP‑driven manufacturing and compliance systems

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience
  • Multi‑department or multi‑site operations leadership preferred
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing environments strongly preferred
  • Proven success improving operational performance, planning, and efficiency
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent operational experience considered
