Who You Are:

The Senior Manager, User Experience is responsible for defining and evolving the user experience vision, strategy, and roadmap across Michael Kors’ digital storefront experiences. Reporting to the Director, Storefront Digital Product, this role ensures customer experience considerations are embedded within product strategy, roadmap planning, and digital innovation initiatives.


Working closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Technology, Analytics, Creative and Site, the Senior Manager identifies opportunities to improve customer journeys, drive continuous optimization, and shape the future digital experience. This role provides UX leadership and establishing the strategy, standards, priorities, and design direction that guide day-to-day UX execution.


What You’ll Do:

  • Define and maintain the UX vision, principles, and long-term experience strategy across digital storefront experiences, ensuring alignment with customer needs, business objectives, product priorities, and brand goals.
  • Develop and manage the UX roadmap, identifying and prioritizing opportunities to improve customer journeys, usability, conversion, engagement, and the overall digital experience.
  • Champion customer-centric design practices across the digital product organization and ensure UX priorities are embedded within broader product strategy, planning, and roadmap discussions.
  • Partner closely with the Director, Storefront Digital Product and Product Managers to align UX strategy with product roadmaps, business priorities, and customer needs, serving as the primary UX representative in strategic and cross-functional discussions.
  • Present UX strategies, recommendations, roadmap priorities, and experience opportunities to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, facilitating alignment and informed decision-making.
  • Leverage customer feedback, user research, experimentation results, analytics, and market trends to inform UX direction, identify opportunities, and continuously improve digital experiences.
  • Partner with the Experimentation & Innovation Product Manager to identify, prioritize, and evaluate opportunities to enhance digital experiences and support innovation initiatives.
  • Partner with Creative and Content leaders to ensure digital experiences effectively balance customer needs, brand expression, storytelling, merchandising objectives, and business goals.
  • Establish frameworks, standards, and ways of working that enable effective collaboration across Product, UX, Creative, Content, Technology, Analytics, and Marketing throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Establish and maintain UX standards, design principles, accessibility requirements, design system guidelines, and experience best practices to ensure consistency across digital experiences and customer touchpoints.
  • Provide strategic design direction and oversight across UX initiatives, reviewing concepts, wireframes, prototypes, and final designs to ensure alignment with UX strategy, brand, and experience standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement in UX processes, tools, and ways of working, introducing new approaches and capabilities that strengthen the team's effectiveness and impact.
  • Bring external UX expertise and industry best practices into the organization by leveraging resources such as Baymard Institute, industry research, competitive insights, and emerging experience trends. Translate relevant findings into actionable recommendations, educate cross-functional teams, and continuously raise the organization’s UX maturity and digital experience standards.
  • Lead and develop a UX team member, providing strategic direction, prioritization, coaching, and feedback across UX initiatives.
  • Own UX workload planning, resource allocation, and capacity management across initiatives, ensuring resources are aligned to business priorities and the UX roadmap.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and customer-centricity across the UX function and broader digital product organization.



You’ll Need to Have:

  • 7+ years of experience in UX, Product Design, Digital Experience Design, or a related field, with experience operating in a strategic or leadership capacity.
  • Proven experience developing UX strategies and roadmaps for digital products, ideally within retail, luxury, fashion, or another consumer-focused industry.
  • Experience leading, coaching, or mentoring UX and design professionals, with strong ability to provide direction and elevate design quality.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional partners.
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design, accessibility, design systems, and digital experience best practices, with strong proficiency in Figma.
  • Strong ability to balance customer needs, business objectives, brand expression, and technology considerations to deliver impactful digital experiences.
