For our client, we are seeking a Senior Manager Policy Communications to join the team of a leader in the Hospitality & Recreation space. This role will drive marketing initiatives focused on growth, customer acquisition, brand performance, and measurable demand creation. You will collaborate with analytics, product, creative, and commercial teams to turn market insights into scalable campaigns, testing strategies, and performance improvements. The position offers the opportunity to directly influence customer engagement, conversion performance, and revenue growth within a hospitality and recreation environment.
Location: Washington, DC - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $260,000 – $463,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Translate policy into impactful media stories and communications that support business growth
- Develop and strengthen relationships with key media figures and opinion leaders to enhance the company’s public profile
- Anticipate and manage reputational issues with proactive communications strategies informed by policy nuances
- Act as spokesperson for the company on public policy issues, ensuring a coherent narrative aligns with business goals
- Collaborate with the Global Affairs team to establish a strategic media relations agenda for policy objectives
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in media, corporate, political, government or agency communications
- Expertise in distilling complex concepts into clear narratives for public policy and regulatory matters
- Established credibility and strong relationships within the media landscape
- Experience in engaging policymakers and regulatory audiences effectively
- Demonstrated excellent judgment and business acumen with strong problem-solving skills
- Entrepreneurial, creative, and adaptable, driven by results
- Detail-oriented and organized, capable of strategic thinking alongside hands-on execution
