Senior Manager, People & Organization - Pacific Northwest

Summary

The Senior Manager, People & Organization – Pacific Northwest leads execution of core HR processes for Chanel boutiques across the PNW and serves as a key business partner to Boutique Leadership Teams. Based primarily in the San Francisco boutique, the role supports additional locations including Neiman Marcus San Francisco, Nordstrom Valley Fair, Palo Alto and Hawaii. The leader will drive talent development, performance management, recruitment, employee relations, and compliance while fostering an inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Boutique Leadership Teams to coach on performance management, compensation, succession planning, and organizational structure.
• Lead recruitment planning and support Talent Acquisition on sourcing, events, and hiring best practices.
• Drive talent development efforts, onboarding, career conversations, and training coordination with Education teams.
• Manage employee relations matters, conduct investigations, and advise on disciplinary actions and exits in partnership with ER and Legal.
• Oversee workforce planning, analyze people trends, and use HRIS data to inform P&O priorities.
• Collaborate with Legal, Asset Protection, Benefits, and Total Rewards to ensure policy alignment and compliance.
• Maintain a regular in-boutique presence to build relationships, perform check-ins, and support retail operations.

Requirements

• 7+ years of core HR (HR Generalist) experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• Prior HR experience in a retail or wholesale environment preferred.
• Demonstrated employee relations experience including investigations and case management.
• Strong verbal and written communication, relationship‑building, discretion, and influencing skills.
• Comfort with HRIS tools (e.g., Workday) and basic data analysis in Excel.
• Ability to be in‑boutique approximately three days per week and travel between supported locations.
