Sr. Manager of Lateral RecruitingThe Sr. Manager of Lateral Recruiting is responsible for managing the lateral recruitment efforts for lateral attorneys, including partner, associate, and counsel candidates in the Chicago and New York offices, while also supporting partner-level hiring firmwide in collaboration with the Director of Legal Recruiting, and providing coverage for lateral hiring in other markets across the Firm. This role serves as a key representative of the Firm in the Chicago market and plays an integral part in advancing the Firm's strategic growth initiatives.Salary in the range of $175,000 - $220,000 dependent on location and experience levelEssential Job Duties:Manage the lateral recruiting efforts for partner, associate, counsel, and patent agent recruiting operations for the Chicago and New York offices, and additional lateral needs across the Firm.Serve as primary point of contact in Chicago/New York for search firms and candidates.Support partner-level recruiting in partnership with the Director of Legal Recruiting across the firm.Identify hiring needs, draft job descriptions in collaboration with practice groups, source candidates, manage the interview process, draft and edit offer letters, ensure diligence ahead of onboarding.Source potential candidates through direct outreach, market research, and referrals.Screen prospective candidates to ensure alignment to the Firm's needs and standardsServe as a liaison to the practice group leaders, and practice group directorsMaintain and update recruiting policies and programs to align with best practices and Firm strategyManage and analyze recruiting dataAnalyze compensation trends and market data to provide strategic offer recommendations and lead candidate compensation discussions and negotiations.Serve as a liaison between the recruiting and marketing teams to enhance recruiting collateral and candidate-facing materialsStay informed on industry and market trends to enhance recruiting strategies and programsSupport Director of Legal Recruitment as neededFoster a diverse, inclusive, and positive candidate experience in line with Firm valuesMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's Degree required; J.D.

Preferred4+ years of experience independently managing recruiting processes in a law firm or legal search firm requiredAttorney recruiting experience required.Knowledge of recruiting best practices with a focus on continuous improvementStrong research and data analysis skillsExcellent interpersonal skills, along with strong verbal and written communication skills to understand and meet hiring needsTeam-oriented and collaborative mentalityAbility to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information, demonstrating a high degree of professionalismStrong organizational and multitasking skills with minimal supervisionProficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and ExcelAbility to complete all essential job dutiesOther Requirements:The requirements described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
